For over
30 years,
Phil
and Brenda Nicholas have been motivating, inspiring and challenging audiences and
congregations throughout the world. Since the early 80's when they
started ministering full time, Phil and Brenda have collected a list of impressive
credits.
They have
toured throughout the U.S., Canada
and in Europe. They've made appearances at
Carnegie Hall, Constitution Hall, The Kennedy
Center, The Spectrum in Philadelphia, The Forum in
Los Angeles, Madison Square Garden and The Apollo
Theater in New York to name a few.
They have
made count less numbers
of TV and radio appearances (700 Club, TBN, BET and more). Their
recordings have won and been nominated for numerous awards including
Grammy,
Dove, Excellence and Stellar awards.
Nicholas'
albums also have been number one
national best sellers in both the United States and in Europe. Ebony magazine
best stated it in an article: "The husband and wife gospel duo, who started
their own record label (Command Records) in their living room, demonstrate that they are a
dynamic force in the gospel music industry for the new millennium..
One of
the major reasons for their tremendous success is
their material. Nicholas writes and sings songs
that
truly minister. Their major hit,
"God's
Woman", has blessed thousands of women
encouraging them to be strong women of God. Their
songs "A Love Like This", "The Closer I Get
To You", "Dedicated" and "I Do" were a
string of huge
hits which blessed
untold
numbers of Christian marriages.
Their release, Fired Up!, |
includes the song,
"God Will See You Through",
uplifts those
who are
going through life's toughest trials .
The
Nicholas's have not been content with
just exposing
their talent to
the
world. Through their label Command Records
distributed worldwide
by Word Inc.,
headed by their
partner,
ex-Motown producer,
Kent Washburn and Philip Nicholas they are responsible for
seeing
others
share
the gospel of Jesus Christ to the masses. They
recorded such
artists
as The CLC Youth Choir, Kenny Smith, Vernessa
Mitchell,
Rodney
Friend
and Allen Wiggins on their innovative record label,
to
name
a few.
Phil and Brenda (who are out of the late, renowned
Dr. E.V. Hill's church),
have a sincere desire to see souls won and the body
of Christ edified.

Married
32 years, their recent
release,
"The Love CD (Marriage
(Enrichment)" is a powerful
ministry tool to build and strengthen
Christian
couples. To commemorate their 25th Wedding
Anniversary,
they released,
Nicholas' Classic Wedding
& Love Songs - a
compilation of all the love
songs they have recorded for the past 25
years. Each June, they
also host
"The Nicholas Love
Cruise"
(started in 1998) which is
healing, fortifying and saving hundreds
of marriages each year.
